Advadraw
Rapid capillary action dressing

Product Description
An absorbent, non-adherent primary wound contact layer with a wicking effect. The dressing comprises of a soft viscose and polyester mechanically bonded highly absorbent pad, with an integrated central wicking layer backed each side with a perforated permeable wound contact layer. Fluid from the wound bed is rapidly absorbed into the pad and distributed by the central layer resulting in sustained movement of exudate from a wound bed. Sustained movement of fluid from the wound bed will deslough and debride wounds and help remove bacteria.

Use
Advadraw is placed (either side down) onto the wound surface. Dressings can be placed side by side to cover large wound areas and layered to optimise absorbency. Advadraw can be cut to size ensuring that sharp scissors are used.

Secure with a secondary dressing of choice. Advadraw may initially require changing daily but can be left in place for up to seven days.

Indications
Leg ulcers / Post operative or dehisced surgical wounds / Pressure ulcers

Features
Rapid absorption / Draws in exudate / Capillary action / Non-adherence / Easy to cut

Advadraw Spiral
Rapid capillary action ribbon

Product Description
An absorbent, low adherent dressing with a wicking effect, presented in a spiral ribbon form. The dressing comprises of a soft viscose and polyester fibres with a central wicking layer with a perforated permeable wound contact layer. The unique spiral shape allows the dressing to be easily cut to length for insertion into cavity wounds or conform to deep wound beds.

Fluid from the wound bed is rapidly absorbed into the ribbon and distributed by the central layer, resulting in sustained movement of exudate from a wound bed. This helps to manage exudate levels and promote autolytic debridement.

Use
Advadraw Spiral can be inserted into a wound or placed (either side down) onto the wound surface. The end of Advadraw Spiral can be inserted through a standard Advadraw dressing which will act as a reservoir for exudate collection.

Indications
Leg ulcers / Post operative or dehisced surgical wounds / Pressure ulcers

Features
Rapid absorption / Draws in exudate / Capillary action / Can be used directly on wound bed

Adva-co
High compression indicator bandage (type 3c)

Product Description
Adva-co is a long-stretch high compression bandage designed to provide 40mm Hg sub-bandage pressure at the ankle and 20mm Hg at the knee (graduated compression). Adva-co is used with a sub-bandage wadding layer (e.g. Advasoft) making it a cost effective treatment for the management of venous insufficiency.

Use
The bandage has two rectangular pressure indicators to help ensure the correct pressure is achieved. A rectangle elongated to a square indicates the correct pressure. Measuring the leg at the ankle: Use the small rectangle for ankles of 18-26cm circumference. First apply a sub bandage wadding and then starting at the foot apply Adva-co with a 50% overlap (utilising centre line) in a spiral motion and extend the bandage using the correct rectangle for the ankle circumference. Use in conjunction with an absorbent dressing and/or primary wound contact layer. For comfort and distribution of pressure use appropriate under padding. Secure bandage with Advaflex tabs (supplied).

Indications
For the management of venous leg ulcers and associated conditions where patients have poor venous return and where compression therapy is indicated

Features
Lightweight breathable bandage / Two sizes of the rectangular pressure indicator for effective management of compression therapy / Thin material to promote greater patient compliance / Centre line to assist a 50% overlap of the bandage / Soft finish for improved comfort / Accurate reliable guaranteed compression / Latex Free

Advaflex
Bandage securing tabs

Product Description
Advaflex is a non-adhesive system for the simple and secure fixation of bandages. The product consists of individual micro-hook tabs supplied on a reel. The individual tabs can be easily separated from each other and applied to a wide range of bandages to secure the ends. Advaflex provides practitioners with a means of securing or re-tensioning a wide range of bandages quickly and effectively without the need for additional or replacement of fixation products. The micro-hooks are completely safe and will not prick the fingers of practitioners who may otherwise use pins or the sharp grips supplied with some bandages. This resolves any issues in respect of contamination or infection control that may be associated with sharp products. Due to Advaflex being non-adhesive the system does not have the problem associated with adhesive tapes which can dry out, (especially in warm conditions) and lose their adhesive property. Therefore the Advaflex system can potentially reduce the time and cost associated with the application of bandages. Advaflex may not be suitable for some bandages particularly those with a smooth surface, tightly woven bandages, coated bandages or orthopaedic wadding bandages. Prior to use Advancis recommend the Advaflex grip quality for a particular bandage is checked.

Use
Advaflex is available in boxes of 200 on a reel, simply snap the joining strip between each individual Advaflex tab to separate from the reel and apply to the bandage.
